Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

These came about because I wanted to make peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, yet had no chocolate chips.  I did however have peanut butter chips, so I thought, why not turn it around!  Though these aren't a "new" idea per se, they ARE new to my recipe book and to our household.  Try these out today with an ice cold glass of milk....you won't regret it!

Ingredients:

- 2 Cups Flour
- 2/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 3/4 Teaspoon Baking SODA
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Sticks of Butter
- 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 Bag Peanut Butter Chips

Directions:

1.  Whisk together the Flour, Cocoa, Baking Soda, and Salt.  Set aside.

2.  In another bowl, toss in your sticks of butter.  Add in your sugar and mix together until fluffy.

3.  Crack open your eggs and toss them into the bowl.  Now add the vanilla.  Mix well until the wet mixture is fully combined.

4.  Now combine your wet and dry mixtures.  Mix well until all is fully incorporated.  Now you can toss in your peanut butter chips and fold together.

5.  Once your chips are fully combined, cover your dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for AT LEAST 30 minutes.  Once you chill your dough, remove and begin placing spoonfuls on your ungreased cookie sheet.  Heat your oven to 350 degrees and bake your cookies for 10-14 minutes.

6.  Once done, remove your cookies sheet and let cookies sit for about 2 minutes.  Then, using the back of a plastic spatula, gently nudge your cookies from the cookie sheet.  Then place each cookie on a cooling rack until cooled completely.

Here's the final product......

So moist, so sweet, and so chocolately!  The added peanut butter flavor provided by the peanut butter chips makes the MOST delicious combination!  I mean, really, chocolate and peanut butter?!  Yes please!  Enjoy this one folks!
